Sled: Arctic Cat

  What is the best way to remove the bushing on the lower driveshaft,,,where the pin goes into from the speedo flange. I never knew that this was a removeable part but it shows them on the Cat microfiche,,so apparently it is removeable.

I don't know why you want to remove it because you can just

remove approx .060" off the end and it will work fine... but here is

what I did.. ground a sq. that would just slide down inside the sleeve,

(it was from an old drill blank)  filled the cavity with hvy oil,

took the blank put it in the hole of the cable end..

and hit it with a hammer.. sleeve just hydrauliced

out. If you can't get size correct, measure the cable end.  

I use a thin sharp chissel or a screw driver will work. Hit it where the drive axle and the bushing meet with a hammer. You may have to hit it a couple times but I haven't had one that wouldn't pop out.

I've just pounded in a easy out and heated it a touch with a propane torch. Then twisted it out. No problem.
